Things to Do

Newry's sights are a small but interesting mix: a Victorian town hall built on a bridge, the first post-Emancipation Catholic cathedral in Ireland, a Tudor castle that doubles as a museum, and a remarkable Egyptian-style railway viaduct on the edge of town. The Mournes and Slieve Gullion are within easy striking distance for walkers.
