Achiltibuie has no public transport. The drive from Ullapool takes around 40 minutes on a single-track road through some of the finest scenery in the Scottish Highlands. The approach south from Lochinver is longer and even more dramatic — allow 90 minutes. Most visitors come with their own car, and that is the only practical option.
There is no petrol station in Achiltibuie, so fill up in Ullapool before you leave.
