The Banff surf and watersports club operates from Links beach on the western side of town, offering equipment hire, wetsuit rental, and lessons for all ages and experience levels. The Moray Firth coastline here picks up consistent North Sea swells, and the beach break at the Links works on most tides.
Water temperatures are bracing year-round — a good 5/4mm wetsuit is essential outside high summer. The club runs regular sessions and can point you toward other breaks along the coast if the Links is flat.
