Banff is popular with golfers, anglers, birdwatchers, and visitors interested in Georgian architecture. Duff House is the centrepiece — both as a gallery and as the focus of riverside walks. The harbour offers boat trips and diving, and the surrounding Banffshire coast is excellent for walking. The Duff House Royal Golf Club, on the banks of the Deveron at the edge of town, is one of the better courses in the north of Scotland.
