Campbeltown Heritage Centre fills in the town behind the postcard harbour. The collection covers Kintyre social history, including whisky, fishing, coal, farming, and the industries that once made Campbeltown much richer than its size suggests.
The building helps too: a former church with enough character to make the visit feel rooted in the town rather than tucked into a generic municipal room.
