Getting There

Dundee is on the main east-coast railway. ScotRail runs frequent direct trains from Edinburgh (about 80 minutes) and Glasgow Queen Street (about 90 minutes via Perth). LNER runs the long-distance services from London King's Cross (just over six hours, with a change at Edinburgh). The station sits on the waterfront, a five-minute walk from City Square and the V&A.

By road, Dundee is on the M90 and A90 motorway corridor, about 70 km north of Edinburgh and 100 km south of Aberdeen. The bus station is in the city centre; Scottish Citylink, Megabus and Stagecoach all run inter-city services.

Dundee Airport (DND), three kilometres west of the centre, has a handful of weekly flights to London City and other UK destinations. For most international visitors, flying into Edinburgh (EDI) and taking the train is faster than the connecting flight to Dundee.
