Crarae Garden is a woodland garden south of Inveraray, managed by the National Trust for Scotland. Its strength is not formal bedding but the wilder mix of trees, Himalayan plants, water, and narrow paths along the burn.
It makes most sense with a car, either as a soft ending to an Inveraray day or as a stop on the road around Loch Fyne.
