Ness of Burgi is a rougher, quieter stop than Jarlshof or Old Scatness. A grassy path leads along the peninsula to the remains of an Iron Age blockhouse, with Atlantic water on both sides and the land narrowing toward the rocks.
The site is free and exposed. Go only in sensible weather, and treat it as a walk with archaeology rather than a formal visitor attraction.
