Doune Castle is a well-preserved medieval stronghold near Stirling, known for its great hall, compact courtyard plan, and screen appearances in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Game of Thrones, and Outlander. It is one of the region's easier castle visits to pair with Stirling.
