Din Lligwy is a remarkable cluster of ancient monuments on the northeast coast of Anglesey, spanning three different ages of human settlement within a few hundred metres of each other.
The oldest is a Neolithic burial chamber with a huge capstone. Next comes a Roman-era settlement — a walled enclosure with rectangular and round stone houses, one of the best-preserved in Wales. The most recent is a medieval chapel of ease that once served a village now vanished without trace.
