Getting There

Colwyn Bay sits on the North Wales Coast Line between Crewe and Holyhead. Direct trains run from Manchester Piccadilly (about 2 hours), Chester (about 1 hour) and London Euston via the Avanti West Coast service to Holyhead (about 3 hours 30 minutes). The station is in the centre of town, a short walk from the seafront.

By road the A55 dual carriageway (the North Wales Expressway) passes the back of the town, with two junctions serving Colwyn Bay and Old Colwyn. The road continues west to Conwy and Bangor, and east to Chester and the M56 for Liverpool and Manchester.

Manchester Airport is the closest major airport, around 90 minutes by train via Chester. Liverpool John Lennon is a similar drive.
