Heritage Quay

Heritage Quay is the main cruise ship shopping complex, built in the 1980s on reclaimed land at the edge of St. John's Harbour. It is purpose-built for visitors stepping off the big ships, with duty-free shops selling jewellery, electronics, spirits, and designer goods, plus a casino and a handful of restaurants.

It is less charming than Redcliffe Quay next door, but useful if you need duty-free prices on spirits or are looking for mainstream brands. The views across the harbour are pleasant, and on days when several cruise ships are docked simultaneously, the energy here is undeniably lively. Local buses and taxis congregate just outside the quay.
