Manchebo Beach runs south from Eagle Beach and is arguably the wider and quieter of the two, with a broad expanse of white sand that can look almost empty on weekday mornings. It sits in front of a handful of low-rise hotels and no large resort developments, which keeps the atmosphere relaxed. The water is shallow and calm, with the same reliable west-coast conditions that make Aruba a reliably good swimming destination.
The beach is a few kilometres south of Palm Beach and about 3 kilometres north of Oranjestad, so it is conveniently close to the capital. Several of the small hotels along this stretch have beach bars open to non-guests. If you're staying in the city and want a beach day without fighting for space at the main Palm Beach hotel strip, this is the sensible choice.
