Nippers Beach Bar

Nippers sits on the Atlantic-facing dunes of Great Guana Cay, a multi-tiered wooden structure with a pool dug into the hillside and steps leading down to the beach. The house rum punch is what most people come for — strong, cold, and served in a plastic cup. The view across the Atlantic reef from the upper deck is hard to beat.

Sunday pig roast is the main event: a full Bahamian spread of pork, rice and peas, and sides, served in the afternoon when boats from across the Abacos converge on the dock below. It gets crowded and noisy and is unambiguously a good time. On quieter weekdays, it's a relaxed spot for lunch and a swim before the Albury's ferry back to Marsh Harbour.
