Treasure Cay Beach

Treasure Cay Beach is one of the longest and finest beaches in the Bahamas — a three-and-a-half mile curve of powdery white sand with shallow, brilliantly turquoise water that barely deepens for a hundred metres. It faces a protected sound rather than the open Atlantic, so the water is almost always flat calm and perfect for swimming.

The beach fronts the Treasure Cay marina and resort complex, which means it has amenities — showers, a beach bar, sun loungers for hire — but also means it's a commercial property. Non-guests are technically welcome but should expect the full resort pricing at the beach bar. On weekdays outside high season, you may have miles of sand largely to yourself. The marina at Treasure Cay is one of the largest and best-equipped in the northern Bahamas, and a useful provisioning stop for boaters.
