Eleuthera is not a nightlife island, but it has its spots. Elvina's in Gregory Town is the most famous: live music, a low-key local scene, and reliably good food. The Friday-night fish fry at Governor's Harbour is part bar, part music venue, part community get-together. The Daddy Joe's stretch by Anchor Bay in Gregory Town does Wednesday-night fish fries.
On Harbour Island, the bars cluster along Bay Street and beach-side; The Landing has a sophisticated cocktail bar, Ma Ruby's is the long-running local favourite. Cafés are thinner on the ground — Beyond the Reef in Governor's Harbour and a handful of bakeries in the larger settlements cover the morning coffee fix.
