Eleuthera has three small airports: Governor's Harbour (GHB) in the centre, the busiest, with regular direct flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Nassau; North Eleuthera (ELH) at the top, the gateway to Harbour Island and Spanish Wells; and Rock Sound (RSD) in the south. Connections from Europe usually run via Nassau or Miami.
By boat, the Bahamas Ferries fast catamaran runs from Nassau to several Eleuthera ports several times a week and takes about two hours. Smaller mail boats serve the island weekly and are cheaper but slow.
