Baha Mar

A vast turquoise-glass resort complex dominating the western end of Cable Beach, with three luxury hotels (Grand Hyatt, SLS, Rosewood), the largest casino in the Caribbean, a championship golf course, and a substantial public art programme featuring contemporary Bahamian work.

The whole complex is open for walk-through — the casino, restaurants, shopping arcade, art trail, and pool decks. The Esther Pieces sculpture trail along the public beachfront is a free open-air gallery of Bahamian work. The casino opens midday and runs late. Day visitors can use parts of the beach via the public access at the eastern end of the property.

A story
Baha Mar opened in 2017 after a notoriously troubled construction, eight years late and through one bankruptcy. The complex includes the largest casino in the Caribbean — 9,000 square metres of gaming floor — and an art collection of more than two thousand pieces by Bahamian artists.
