Cabbage Beach

The signature beach of Paradise Island: five kilometres of fine white sand and improbable turquoise water on the north shore, looking out into the open Atlantic. The western end is dominated by the Atlantis resort and is crowded; walk twenty minutes east and the crowds drop off sharply.

The water is shallow and clear, with decent body-surfing waves on breezy days. Jet skis, parasailing, and beach-bar massages are constantly on offer, all negotiable. Access is via the public path at Casino Drive just before the Atlantis main entrance, or through the resort itself. There is no public car park — most visitors come by taxi or jitney.
