Cable Beach

The main hotel-resort beach of Nassau, four kilometres of white sand running west from the Hilton out to the Sandals and the Baha Mar complex. The water is calm, shallow, and protected — better for families and weak swimmers than the more exposed Cabbage Beach.

Public access points are signposted at several places along West Bay Street; the easiest is at the Western Esplanade near Sandyport. Beach beds and umbrellas are rentable at hotel concessions. The Baha Mar resort dominates the west end with its turquoise glass towers. Cable Beach is genuinely lovely but you will share it with cruise excursions and resort guests.
