Imperial Take Away

A tiny food stand at Potter's Cay that serves what locals consider some of the best stewed conch in Nassau, in a paper plate with peas and rice for a few dollars. Order at the window, eat at the picnic tables under the bridge, and watch the mail boats arrive from the Out Islands.

Cash only, lunch and early evening only, closed on Sundays. The signature dish is the boil fish breakfast — grouper poached with onions, lime, and bird pepper, eaten with grits and Johnnycake.
