The most famous of the Arawak Cay fish-fry shacks, painted bright yellow and run by the Saunders twins since the 1980s. The cracked conch is the dish to order — pounded thin, double-breaded, fried hard, served with peas and rice and a wedge of lime. The conch salad at the front counter is prepared in front of you and is among the best in Nassau.
Open daily for lunch and dinner; weekend nights see a band on the front porch and queues out the door. Prices are well below downtown restaurants. Cash is preferred. Bring an appetite; portions are large.
