The Marine Parade is the seafront boulevard that runs along the northern edge of Belize City through the Fort George neighbourhood. It's a pleasant place for a morning or evening walk, with the sea on one side and colonial-era buildings on the other. Street vendors sell fresh coconut water and snacks; pelicans work the water alongside fishermen's boats.
This stretch of the city feels safer and more visitor-friendly than most. The water taxi terminals are here, so you'll likely start or end a trip to the cayes at this waterfront. The Radisson Fort George Hotel sits on the promenade and has a rooftop bar that gives good views over the harbour and out toward the reef.
