Castle Islands Fortifications

The Castle Islands Fortifications guard the entrance to Castle Harbour and include King's Castle, Devonshire Redoubt, and Landward Fort. King's Castle is among the oldest surviving English stone fortifications in the New World, and its captain's house is an early 17th-century survival.

The site is best for visitors interested in Bermuda's early colonial history and coastal defences. It is more remote than the forts in St. George's town, so check access and boat or tour options before setting out.
