St. Peter's Church

Early-17th-century Anglican church, among the oldest continuously used Protestant churches in the Americas.

St. Peter's is one of the essential stops in St. George's. Parts of the present church date to the 1620s, and the building has grown through repairs, extensions, and the long continuity of parish life.

Do not rush the churchyard. It gives the town's history a quieter, more personal weight than the forts and plaques.
