Centre for Creative Arts

The Centre for Creative Arts occupies a converted downtown building on 100 Avenue and is the main public gallery in Grande Prairie. The exhibition program rotates work by Alberta and Peace Country artists across painting, photography, ceramics and textiles, with several shows running concurrently in the connected gallery spaces.

It is a working arts centre as well as a gallery, with studios for printmaking, pottery and other media, and a regular schedule of classes and workshops. Admission to exhibitions is free. For visitors, it is the most reliable place to see what local artists are making and to get a sense of the small but real creative scene in northwestern Alberta.
