Kelowna punches above its size for craft beer. The Okanagan has excellent water and entrepreneurial brewing culture, and the city has several brewpubs and taprooms within easy reach of downtown. Wine bars are a natural extension of the winery culture — some wineries have casual tasting rooms that feel more like bars than formal cellar doors. The waterfront area along Water Street has the highest concentration of places, with patios facing Okanagan Lake.
