Kelowna's restaurant scene has grown significantly as the wine industry has brought visitors with money to spend. The best meals tend to be at the wineries themselves — several winery restaurants offer elevated farm-to-table cooking that draws on the Okanagan's orchards, farms, and lake. Downtown Kelowna has a growing number of independent restaurants along Bernard Avenue and the waterfront area. The local produce is exceptional: stone fruits, berries, apples, and Lake Okanagan trout appear on almost every serious menu.
