Stamp River Provincial Park

Forested river park where salmon leap through falls on their way upstream.

Stamp River Provincial Park protects a short, satisfying stretch of forest and river north of Port Alberni. Its big moment comes from late summer into autumn, when salmon gather below the falls and try to force their way upstream.

Even outside the salmon run, the park is an easy half-day walk among mossy forest, river viewpoints, and wet west-coast air. It gives Port Alberni one of its clearest nature anchors without requiring a long drive.
