Sanduz Estate Wines is a modest winery and tasting room in Richmond, a reminder that this part of Metro Vancouver still has pockets of agricultural land behind the malls and airport roads. It is best treated as a short stop rather than a destination in itself.
The appeal is local: fruit wines, grape wines, and a tasting-room format that can fit around Steveston, the temple, or a food-focused Richmond day. Serious wine travellers will find bigger names elsewhere in British Columbia, but Sanduz gives Richmond a different texture.
