Manitoba Legislative Building

The Manitoba Legislative Building is Winnipeg's grandest civic building, a neoclassical limestone landmark crowned by the gilded Golden Boy. The statue is the city's best-known symbol, standing more than five metres high above the dome.

The building rewards more than a quick exterior photo. Look for the monumental staircase, the formal grounds and the many symbolic details built into the architecture. It is an easy walk from downtown, Osborne Village and the Forks.
