Getting Around

Mississauga is a suburban city built around cars, and getting around without one takes patience. MiWay (formerly Mississauga Transit) operates a bus network that covers most of the city, with frequent service on major routes during weekdays and reduced schedules on weekends.

GO Transit commuter trains run along the lakefront, useful if you are moving between Port Credit, Clarkson, and downtown Toronto. The Hurontario LRT (the Hazel McCallion Line) connects Port Credit GO station to the Brampton Gateway terminal, running along the busy Hurontario corridor.

For day-to-day getting around, a car remains the most practical option. The city is spread out and many attractions are not within walking distance of each other.
