The Waterfront Trail runs the full 22 km of Mississauga's Lake Ontario shoreline from the Toronto boundary at Long Branch to the Oakville boundary west of Clarkson. Most of it is paved and traffic-free, weaving past the harbours at Port Credit and Lakeview Park, the Adamson Estate, and Jack Darling Memorial Park.
It is one of the genuinely fine things the city has done — a continuous, well-signed walking and cycling route along the lake. Bike rental shops at Port Credit can set you up for the day.
