The Stratford Festival runs from April to late October — that is when the town is alive and what most visitors come for. June through September is peak season; book theatre tickets and accommodation well in advance for weekends.
Outside festival season the town is much quieter, with a handful of restaurants closing for January and February. Spring (May) and early autumn are the most pleasant times to be there — warm days, comfortable evenings, and the river park at its best.
