Frontenac National Park protects a quiet stretch of forest and shoreline around Grand lac Saint-François. It is a good outdoors day from Lac-Mégantic, with hiking and cycling trails in warmer months and snowshoeing when winter settles in.
The lake is the main draw, but the park also works well for birdwatching. Nearly 200 bird species have been recorded here, along with deer, beaver, and other mammals that make the shore and forest feel wilder than the map suggests.
