Mont-Mégantic National Park is the region's heavyweight attraction, about a half-hour drive from Lac-Mégantic. The park combines mountain hiking with the ASTROLab astronomy centre, observatory visits, and public programs inside the world's first International Dark Sky Reserve.
By day, hike toward Mont Saint-Joseph or Mont Mégantic for views over the border country. By night, book an astronomy evening if one is running; this is the rare park where the sky is as important as the trails.
