Québec's main art museum, located at the edge of the Plains of Abraham. The collection emphasises Québécois art from the 18th century to the present — some 38,000 works. A major new pavilion opened in 2016, tripling the exhibition space. The collection of religious art from the colonial period is particularly strong and gives a clear picture of cultural life in early New France. Free admission on Wednesday evenings. Allow two to three hours.
