From the Regla waterfront, across the narrow harbour channel, the skyline of Old Havana presents itself continuously — the dome of the Capitolio, the tower of the Iglesia del Ángel, the chimneys of the former colonial warehouses. The view is best at dusk when the Havana facades glow warm and the boats in the harbour move in the evening light.
The Regla waterfront is pleasant to walk along and largely free of tourist development. A bench here in the late afternoon, watching the ferries cross and the city across the water, is one of the quieter pleasures available in the Havana area.
