Convent Sor Juana de Maldonado

Convent Sor Juana de Maldonado is a small museum inside a restored convent, useful for understanding both the building and Antigua's religious traditions. The displays explain the conservation work and give a glimpse of daily life for 18th-century nuns.

It also covers Holy Week in Antigua, especially the sawdust carpets that briefly turn the streets into elaborate works of devotional art. Some video material is in Spanish, but the exhibits are still easy enough to follow.
