Cormier Beach

Sheltered cove north of Cap-Haitien with diving and lobster

Cormier Plage sits in a sheltered cove about 20 minutes north of Cap-Haitien along a rough coastal road. The water is calm and clear, good for swimming and snorkelling, and there is a small dive operation on site. The open-air restaurant serves fresh lobster and grilled fish straight off the boats, and the setting under the palms is hard to beat. There are tennis courts if you want to work off lunch. It is one of the more accessible beach escapes from Cap-Haitien and makes an easy half-day trip.
