The parish church of San Pablo stands on the central park and serves as the spiritual anchor of Siguatepeque. The building is a solid, unpretentious colonial structure — white-painted walls, a modest facade, and an interior that is better than the exterior suggests. San Pablo (Saint Paul) is the town's patron, and the church fills for Mass and for the annual fiestas held in his honour.
It is worth stepping inside to escape the midday heat and to see the modest but sincere devotional art that lines the walls. The church is active and welcoming — travellers are generally free to visit outside of services.
