Alfred's is the main live-music venue on Seven Mile Beach — a large open-air bar with a stage right on the sand. Reggae bands play several nights a week; the crowd is a mix of beach-staying tourists and Jamaicans who come specifically for the music. The sound system is good and the bar stays open late. It is not the most polished venue, but the atmosphere when a good band is on is genuinely hard to beat.
