Spanish Town is 20 km west of Kingston on the A1 highway. By car or taxi the journey takes 30–45 minutes depending on traffic, which can be heavy at peak hours. Taxis from Kingston's Norman Manley or Sangster airports charge around USD 35–50; negotiate the rate before getting in.
Minibuses (route taxis) run frequently between Kingston's Half Way Tree transport centre and Spanish Town for a local fare — the cheapest option and used by most Jamaicans. Ask locally for the current rank and route. Buses also connect Spanish Town with other parishes across the island.
Spanish Town railway station is no longer operational — Jamaica's passenger rail service was discontinued in 1992, and the tracks are largely overgrown. The station building remains, a historical curiosity rather than a working facility.
