La Trinité's waterfront has a small concentration of restaurants and snack bars that lean heavily on the sea — grilled fish, lobster, and accras de morue (salt cod fritters) are the staples. The best places are simple covered terraces facing the bay. Prices are moderate by Martinique standards, which is to say still more expensive than most of the Caribbean, but less so than Fort-de-France.
For a proper sit-down meal, the restaurants along the seafront quay are the natural starting point. Look for places where local fishing boats are tied up nearby — the catch that comes in on the early morning boats ends up on the lunch menus. Lambi (conch) and chatrou (octopus) prepared Creole-style are worth trying if available.
