Agua Prieta is a working border city rather than a tourist destination, but it has a few things worth seeing for travellers crossing the border or passing through Sonora. The central plaza and the municipal cemetery are the main draws in town; the real attraction lies in what you can reach from here — the copper mines of Nacozari, the Chiricahua-adjacent mountains, and the longer road south into Sonora.
