Taxis from the airport to Ajijic cost around 400-500 pesos (a flat-rate taxi is the most reliable option). Buses run between Guadalajara's central bus station and Chapala, with connections to Ajijic by local bus or taxi. By car, take the Guadalajara-Chapala highway (Highway 23), which runs directly to the lakeshore and connects with the road along the northern shore to Ajijic.
