Bacalar does not have sea beaches; it has lagoon access. Balnearios, docks, and cenote edges are the places to swim, each with different fees and facilities.
The water looks inviting everywhere, but not every edge is open or safe. Respect private property, avoid fragile stromatolites, and ask locally about current conditions before jumping in.
