Casa Valadez

A reliable, slightly upmarket restaurant on the Jardín de la Unión, in business for more than fifty years. The menu is straightforward Mexican — enchiladas mineras (the local style, dipped in guajillo sauce), pozole, mole, plus a respectable steak. Tables on the terrace overlooking the plaza are the prize. Useful for a meal that isn't taken at a stall.
