León is served by the Del Bajío International Airport (BJX), located between León and Silao, around 25 km from the city centre. It is the main international airport for the Bajío region, with direct flights from Mexico City, the United States, and several Canadian cities. Taxis and shared shuttles connect the airport to both León and Guanajuato city.
By bus, León's central bus terminal (Central de Autobuses) is well-connected. From Mexico City (Terminal Norte), the journey takes around four hours on ETN or Primera Plus services. From Querétaro, it's two hours. From Guadalajara, around two and a half hours. The bus terminal is in the south of the city; taxis are the easiest way into the centre from there.
The city is also served by the Suburbano commuter train running between León and Guanajuato — a cheap and scenic option if you are combining the two cities.
