El Cuyo Lighthouse

A simple white-and-red striped lighthouse stands above the village on the only piece of ground that could be called a rise. The current tower dates from the 1960s, replacing an older one that guided the small fishing fleet through the shallows.

There is no formal visit, but the lighthouse marks the easiest landmark for walking the beach in either direction and the area around it is a good spot for sunset. From here the dirt track east takes you onto the wilder, undeveloped stretches of coast.
